Seoul, Korea Day 0 & Day 1

So, our yearly holiday destination for this year SEOUL KOREA! been wanted to visit the country since forever!

I traveled via Scoot airline with transit in Taipei for about $630 for a 2-way trip. It includes insurance and baggage 15kg to and baggage 30kg back. This is also the second time I travel by myself to meet twins, but my first time transiting by myself. LOL.

Day 0

It was a duper long journey. my flight was about 2pm in the noon and i reached korea at midnight! There goes my day 0. Even though it was midnight but there were still many people reaching at that timing. Manage to meet twins while queuing at immigration custom! she was suppose to reach 20mins after me, but both our flights were delayed.

Flight delayed and only given 30mins to transit! chiong all the way.

Basically i just slept and slept throughout the flight to pass time. i prepared 5 eps of korean drama and i only watch 1 throughout my 2 way flight. lol.

Mad crowd in the middle of the night.

First encounter with the sub zero weather, freezing cold but feels shiok! Head straight to our hostel and we are super hungry, we went to the nearest eatery outside our hostel and had some piping hot kimchi soup, it was the best out of all we've eaten!

only $5!!! I dont eat much rice for dinner in SG, but i finished the whole friggin bowl of rice there and also all the other meals! their rice is damn nice please.

only recognised certain words, so choices quite limited. hahaha.

Here's our humble stay! Guesthouse owner Park Soo Hee's husband waited for us to reach their hostel! and came out to helped carry our luggages as well! Daebak.

drank this yoghurt for many days its so freaking thick and yummy!

ready to battle the sub zero weather with heatpacks. LOL. so i heard that feb-mar is actually coldest month in korea, even much colder than nov-dec?! Not so sure bout that though. i wore 1-2pc thermal wear everyday with a normal sweater with furry lining inside + outer coat. for bottom i only wear jeans with furry lining.

it's quite small but cosy enough. No TV btw, so ya quite boring la lol. We spent around $289 Each for 8 nights. should have booked for 7 nights instead because we didn't know they are ok with that!

The common kitchen area.

Ended the night realllly late unpacking and preparing what to wear and how much to bring for day 1!

Day 1

Had my itinerary all jumbled up! changed all the sequences of my plan due to many unforeseen circumstances.

So, we headed to myeongdong and main activity is none other than shopping! Chose a random restaurant to dine in for our brunch.

wanted to try this so badly because i saw all the bloggers posting it!! It's call Geh-ran-bang aka egg bread! its the first thing i saw when i exit from myeong dong station and i just had to buy it!

Glutton look, LOL. My verdict: so-so. LOL... its just egg + bread?! or maybe the one i buy is not nice?

Had abalone porridge!!! Freaking awesomeee. but not cheap! if im not wrong around $8-$12?!

That's the temperature for day 1!! Freaking cold. Basically im ok with the weather, only thing i cant stand is my palms and face. didnt want to wear a mask cause ruin make up. lol.

Super in love with their architecture and interior design. Everywhere is worth taking picture seriously.

$5 for this pomegranate juice. WTF. we see 5000 and we didn't think much about the conversion rate and buy without thinking. After i drink i realized shit.. its not thai baht leh? LOL

Eat all the street food that we saw.

Super love the soup from the fishcake!

Obsessed with their strawberry. Sweet, juicy and BIG!!

tried the rice cake and it was quite meh.

Saw this bing soo house, must go in even though we are not hungry + feeling cold. LOL.

They have minimum order of a drink per pax. Anyway the strawbi milk snow flake is damn nice. Its not like those shave ice in sg when they claim milk shave ice but it taste like nothing but plain water. This one has strong condense milk taste in every mouth!

Saw this in RM, WGM etc, so we bought it! haha.

basically its a sugary snack! not bad!

amazed by their wide range of lenses and the way they display it!

they even show you the effect when worn. Freaking daebak.

i insisted to try look for Hera in lotte departmental store bcause it was already late and we wanted to hate to other places. when we found it, she's the one who went crazy. LOL.

Damage done in Day 1.

Went back to our guesthouse to drop our shopping bags and cab to N Seoul (namsan) tower!

Inside the cable car otw to the tower. Freaking dark cannot see anything, lol.

we didnt went up the tower, we were only at the bottom of the tower. haha, i think its good enough already + it is even colder high up there!

seem like pink is a popular choice. LOL. i didn't wanted to buy the lock at all because its just a lame thing to do. HAHAH... unless with lover larh. don't want to waste money for a lock that i can't bring home, LOL.

Headed to dongdaemun which where our guesthouse is located to find random place for food. Had Kimchi jjigae again, lol. AWESOME.

I dont fancy the malls in DDM area? the clothes are not very nice at all!

We bought these!! awesome. but just found out this blogger bought a whole styrofoam box that is like 2-3 times of this for only 5000won?! wtf.

Must try eating ice cream in cold weather. i find it a very shiok thing to too, also the ice cream wont melt! haha. Btw this is yoghurt ice cream! Can they import some to SG please omgness.

and the pudding eaten by parkbom in roommate!

That's all for Day 0-1!
