Taiwan day #5 & #6

This post is gonna sum up the very last of my taiwan trip!

Day #5 our plan was to head to Dan shui (淡水. but before that, we ask the hotel staffs for directions to Melange cafe to have our brunch first! Basically we didnt had breakfast everyday i think.. LOL..we always head out at 10-11am.

Took quite a long walk to reach there! we were kinda lost. and walk past a cafe that look similar to melange cafe (they sell waffles too), i was kinda desperate to ask for directions so i was thinking heck just go in. ssa thought it was abit bad since they sell same things. LOL.. but i went ahead anyway. They were very polite to let us know the directions! hehehehe.

Shocked when we see the queue........

took our queue number and walked around.. Bought these macarons, got a chef icon above so we thought should be not bad.

quite meh... soso only.

went back, and the queue number jump quite fast! i guess if you only have 2pax the waiting time is not that long!

轉角,是否會遇到愛?xD

we were being directed to the other branch, 1-2 shops away from the original one.

they have level 1 and basement level! look at these coffee err... dripper??? LOL.

Hungry max!! what to orderrrrr

we both had this fruit tea because minimum order is 1 drink per pax.

i like the way they present it. with fruit bits inside. but the small jar, already filled w ice, and i had to pour it inside the glass also filled with ice. Wha, the drink damn cold can.. i could just drink it with straw from the jar. btw, it taste like pineapple juice.

Club sandwich to share since we will be spending rest of the day at dan shui!

1st mouth and im sold!! the taste is damn awesomeeeee, the chicken inside quite unique i think.

Not forgetting the signature waffles, which everybody came here for. But both of us a tad dissappointed! Why ah? all the popular food we think soso only!! the waffles are too thick for my liking! and not really crispy, more like bread.

btw, im not a fan of strawberries, unless they are blended with bananas. order strawberry cuz they are normally best sellers when they go with waffles, same as the honey toast. lol. the ice cream melted too quickly, and it was strawbs ice cream!! vanilla would be better, we didnt finish this dish.

attempting some artsy shots.

i was so bo liao i started taking random shots of myself and send to my sis. LOL... just a small image incase you are sick of it. LOLZ

Aint nobody got time for pics yo.

Both of us were broke after Melange. ssa was worst, because i had to help her pay first! LOL. we were looking everywhere for money changer. True enough it is rare to find money changer in taiwan. & the worst thing is, we run out of money on a saturday!!!! banks dont open!! so we had no choice but to try our luck in departmental stores. Hotel exchange rate way tooo low. and some departmental store dont even exchange sing dollars.

so we went to this... ermm forgot the name. departmental store told by the hotel staffs to try our luck. passed b agnes b cafe, but only took a picture, lol.

and when we are inside, we kena hold up by the staff introducing beauty products.. and both of us kena physco long time... we bought the Envie de neuf  exfoliating gel each! they throw in alot of masks for us which we think was pretty worth it. the mask and the exfoliating gel both tried and tested on our face and hand. not bad! they say fann wong and ann kok also use? or i think is pat mok. LOL

Check out the amount of free masks! anyway it has been awarded by NRWZD i think. + the facial mask is around $10 per pc. im not sure why the way the promote it, the price was heavily discounted due to mother day promo, they keep urge us to take the other product when we already bought the exfoliating gel. but we both really no money already... so reject. and we paid by card somemore! the exfolitating gel around SGD$42. which i believe sg will be more expensive. forgot the original price already because we buy 2 to entitled discount! anyway its really not bad! still using it now!

okay, too side track already, so we exchange our money and went ahead to take the train to danshui! and ssa actually think she can exchange money using credit card.....wtf.... lucky im a very play safe kind of person. i have S$200 with me and before boarding the plane i decided to withdraw $300 more just in case. Please thank the genius me. if not she will just eat grass there. and one of the day she actually almost lost her luggage key!! luckily i spot it when she get off the cab!!!!! I very 不放心 you go bkk w other ppl u know.. guy may take care of girls but they are not detailed enough what!! ok but sorry i cant join you. lol #goodluck.

initially wanted to meet evelyn there since she didnt go before as well. but she was feeling unwell last minute.

the train got shake until so jialat meh... hahahaah.

The site that greeted us when i alight from the train! and over here the weather is not that cold anymore.

Tons of people due to weekend.

we played this and combined all darts and win some toys for her nephew and niece. LOL.

then tried the gun version. which is more shiok to me! LOL. but when you fire the sound is very loud, she gave up after 1 shot and i played the rest. hahaha. i was aiming directly at 1 of the balloons at a point of time and shoot it for 2-3 times and i missed it! dk why, so we only won some small toy.

look so pretty, but didnt try it.

This is a must order when we are here right... hahah go for the green tea with yam! both my fave flavours. actually we dont want to order the long one cause we confirm cannot finish, but decide to buy it for phototaking sake since its cheap. LOLOLOL.

wheeeee check out! got people camwhoring beside me. :D LOL

&....here we go!

erm.. excuse me miss.

actually it looks abit unappealing............. hahahahhahaahah.

ok last shot, mam mam liao.

At first i saw this i was like hw come these snails keep moving so much one.. then wtf.. they are hermit crabs!

Saw this, immediately queue.

Damn nice. the queue start getting longer when we queue, or enter a shop. we really boost business alot. LOL.

cheese potato. disappointed. this is meant to be eaten at shilin instead.

lol.. we waited so long for this.. end up we cant even chew at all to swallow. wtf.

LOL. and im drinking AH MA DE not TA MA DE. hahahahaha

Yee told me i had to try this. bought 1 stick only cause we have to try so many food. LOL.

Its nice!!! find it quite special!

this one bestttt. i order sea salt flavour, and she order some chilli one i think.

last night in hotel, just nice the tv was showing bout things to eat in dan shui!!! so they say AH GEI is damn nice, wonder what is it. and it was so crowded so we went to try!!

Ah gei and fishball soup.

Again..... another popular item which we both think is just MEH. its like tang hoon (glass noodles) wrapped inside a beancurd. with sweet sauce. not that its not nice, but i dont understand why its crowded... the fishball soup wise, the soup is nice, we asked for refill. but the fishball very mehhh also leh. huaiiiii.

we were there till night time, spend some time finding the exact prawn cracker brand i wanted. and turn out the fish one is nicer! but also bought the prawn one though, some for family and some for the office. Then proceed to buy jellies! that mad gal babyxssa bought like 5 boxes of the jelly, and cause they are gifts, she didnt want to throw the box away. so we lugged our heavy goods to the train station (in order to save money) and took train back to our hotel to put our stuffs! phew... lucky our hotel is very near the train station.

saw this opened dentist over there. very scary leh.... ???

european feel cafe.

finding our directions back to hotel in the cold wind, heavy stuffs.

she decided to take a pic with the lights..

陪你去看流星雨落在這地球上。
*你讓我著迷 look*

we really laugh when we were being provided with this room at the other branch of cityinn. so many branches, i totally cant remember which is which. and we told the taxi driver wrong branch, he send us to 2 wrong branches before we reached the correct one. LOL. and he didnt charge extra! so nice.

*i want a simple love*

wallpaper....... faint.

preparing to head to shilin!!! we quite colour co-ordinated. hahahhaa.

this is a photo taken by the student there  exhibited along the train station! damn nice and cute! never knew monkey have such classic expressions!

1st stop at shih lin! intro by 2moro.

they damn generous with the ingredients and cheese

nice, but not hot enough !!!! the ham, corn and everything inside is taken out from the fridge one.

2nd stop. DAMN NICE O M G. they dont cut the chicken so we have to bite it like that, and chilli powder self service. nicer then the shilin in singapore, lol.

3rd stop. Free candy floss by liking their FB, so we did. #cheapskate

they bought the 3 layer one. look at the mommy beside so envious of the candy floss LOL

This is ours! actually its only fun and nice to see how they make. but it is too thick that when you eat you can pull off thin slices by slices like how we normally do for the normal candy floss!

Both tired face. the candy floss melted v fast cuz of air, so we threw away. oops.

yee tell me to buy this. wtf, paiseh can.

didnt try it... hahhahha.

xiao zong was here! LOL!!!! I actually recognise by the word below the signature MAGIC~ HAHAHA!!!!! she love this cause the prawns are alive. me no dare to eat. i cant eat a food when i saw it alive previously.. LOL. it feels wierd....

we keep laughing at this. so random den eh jacky wu is here leh. hahahahha. dk why he reminds me of my dad. LOL.

damn funny his face. LOL.

#paiseh

she was looking for toilet so badly. cant find it anywhere... LOL.

went sasa and i was helping my sister look for the neogence product so i randomly asked a guy and he show me the way. then suddenly we are all chatting. he told us his bf is frm msia and that he often visit there and sg as well. then we got all excited and friendly and chatted for quite a long time! then suddenly exchanging FB and instagram. LOL!! he damn cute la, shit i forgot his name already, paiseh.
Then he intro us the Kanebo UV cream as well!!! both of us bought it since its the last 2 on the shelf! around S$16 only! Ssa bought some eye cream. & he is so nice that he ask his colleague to discount for ssa's eye cream off from his pay! omg. then he throw in the rose bath set for us for free + jimmy choo perfume sample!! Aw, really damn nice la. he made our day, and we feel so happy swiping away with our cards since he lifted our mood. LOL!! Then ssa ask him where's the toilet, she directly told him she needa shit. wtf, she told him not to tell his colleague but he ask his colleague do you know she say she want to shit? LOL.. laugh my ass off.

anyway we were so bloated, we dabao some food back to hotel.

braised meat rice (滷肉飯)not sure if this is the best, because i didnt get to visit the popular one. but imo this is shiok enough already!

oyster omelette! okok.

save my morning time. i normally dont apply any skin care except sun screen in the morning. so this is like 5-in-1 piak piak piak and done! it is toner + essence + moisturizer + dno what cream + sunscreen!

Loots of the day!

random selfie.

DAY #6

no time for anything! basically pack our luggages, checked out, had MCD cause it was near. chen bolin!!

their meal very cheap leh wth.. look at that mcchicken + a thigh + drink only about $4 sgd.

cab to hotel. and wtf... our luggage was around 45.8kg i think, we had to remove some stuff and re-weigh. manage to pass by slightly exceeding 300g.

while eating mcd. the girl beside us Hardcore looking at us NONSTOP. damn buey paiseh. like seriously directly next to us only. she was alone. she just keep staring nonstop.. wtf lonelygal@hotmail sia. guess she just envy us la.. hahahahah.

see, her jelly too heavy, have to remove lol.

Home sweeeeet homeeeee!

wooooo.

FAVE drinks over there!!!!

That marks the end of our trip! Wish there was more time for more places instead. & public transport are so expensive, better to go in groups. will go back there for hotsprings and many other places!
